Covid – 19

This has been a challenging time for dance schools and after a 4 month lockdown we were allowed to open again but with restrictions. We have closely followed the government guidelines from day 1 and our spaces are now set up to reflect this. With socially distanced boxes, hand sanitisers on all entrance and exits as well as warning signs everywhere. We offer a one way system so no bubbles cross over. The floors are continuously cleaned and anyone entering the building who is not dancing needs to wear a mask.

So, if you are looking for a safe venue to bring your child to dancing then look no further. We are growing again but making sure we do not exceed the allowed numbers into classes.

Casting Kids

We recently formed a partnership with Elaine Eaglestone at Casting Kids. This was a big step for Gold Starz as we were unsure of how it would all work. The entertainment industry is a minefield and you have to be guided in the right direction. In Elaine we have found a great partner who works hard for her clients and pushes to get them in front of Casting Directors and key industry players.

In the shirt time we have been working together a few of the kids have already picked up casting opportunities. We are pleased to announce that Shuli Willmott has been cast in a commercial for Iceland. We look forward to seeing her on our screens very soon.

What we do at Gold Starz as well as teach your children how to dance is to make them into confident children who will present themselves well at any castings. Shuli is a confident and bubbly personality and we have brought the best of that out of her. And with upcoming developments at the school where we will be adding a Musical Theatre and singing teacher, we can offer not only a triple threat of Dance, acting & song but also self belief and confidence.

Now is the time to be joining the county’s fastest growing dance school as we head for our own purpose designed home.

Google Reviews

A few parents have recently left reviews on our Google Business pages. This is what they have to say:-

Great Dance school awesome teachers and also an amazing experience friendly atmosphere couldn’t ask for anything else in a dance family

Passionate and friendly teachers and kids. My daughter loves the time she spends in classes and at competitions. I enjoyed the professional show they put on at The Castle Theatre. 5 Gold Starz for Gold Starz.

Daughter joined Goldstarz a year ago and was immediately made to feel part of the family, she has type 1 diabetes, which is a problem for some, but Keir has taken on board all the information he needs and looks after her additional needs brilliantly, Keir and his team go the extra mile for the children.Daughter is loving dancing and comes home smiling.

My daughter has been going gold stars just over a year, she loves it has made lots of new friends, they all make everyone feel welcome parents, dancers, teachers, I would highly recommend the dance school,

My daughter has been at Goldstarz for about a year and a half now and absolutely loves it. She attends 7 classes throughout the week including freestyle, street dance, gymnastics and Acro. She also attends dance completions with Goldstarz and has won a few trophies. Her confidence has grown massively since starting and she has made many new friends. I would definitely recommend Goldstarz to any child that enjoys dancing. The teachers are not only excellent dancers but are very friendly and welcoming too.

Great dance school, my granddaughter has been going for about 8mths now, she loves it, has made lots of friends, the dance teachers are great and have helped her loads , would highly recommend for your children, and everyone makes you feel welcome.. it’s a gold stars family x

We like to make everyone feel welcome at Gold Starz and yes, we regard it as one big family. Go to the contact page and leave your details. You wont be disappointed.

Membership

Wow, its been ages since I have updated my blogs. Its now 2018 and what a year 2017 was. We did competitions at Stoke, Walsall, Clacton & Blackpool and we held our own show at The Castle Theatre. It was really an amazing event with 2 1/2 hours packed with entertainment. It was so well received we have booked in again for next year. So, if your child would like to join in and be a part of our next stage show, just drop us a line.

2018 will see us also doing a few comps at the same venues again with the IDTA but we will also be doing some new competitions with the ADFP at Birmingham & Telford. It really is an exciting time. As well as all this we are hoping to move in to our own venue if all goes well.

The year has started with us getting 2o new children in through the door. So far, they have enjoyed themselves and look like they want to keep coming. So added to our existing base the school is thriving. But we are always looking for new members to come and join our friendly family. So if you are a beginner or experienced, into Street, Dance Gymnastics, Freestyle or Acro. Now is the time to complete the contact details and get in touch with us.

From Class Talent – Organisers of Her Majesty’s Theatre event

Class Talent Ltd had the pleasure of working with the talented students and teachers of Gold Starz from Northamptonshire on Sunday 17th April at Her Majestys Theatre. Such a wonderful group of performers who oozed enthusiasm from the word go! Their two dances Grease Frightening and Lost were greeted excitedly by the audience members and the music and costumes were brilliantly thought out for the idea and style of their dances. We hope to be able to work again with this talented school and staff Thank you from us all at Class Talent Ltd Linda Smith Director of Class Talent Ltd

Newcomers in 2016

Its always great to see new children coming along at the start of a new year and this was no exception. Here are a few comments from those that started on Saturday 9th 2016:-

Kayleigh – Maimee enjoyed herself, thank you!

Deniece – Although Amber was shy for most of the time and wouldn’t join in, I know that when she did participate she really enjoyed herself. She wasn’t put under any pressure at all and you all made us feel so welcome. Thank you! Amber can’t wait to come again, she’s been practising all afternoon! Looking forward to seeing what this year brings with Gold Starz!! x

Caroline – Clara thoroughly enjoyed the morning, she’s told us she needs to practise her star jumps and stretches at home ?she can’t wait to come back, thanks

Joanne – Georgia loved the classes

Donna – In the words of a 10yr old ‘I don’t know I liked it, it was really good, everyone was really friendly and welcomed me nice like’. X

Laura M – Leah was shy to begin with but once she started to join in she really enjoyed it! She’s been showing everyone what she learnt and is really looking forward to next week

So all in all we had happy children. It was interesting to hear some of my seniors chatting about other dance schools they have tried but not settled at, but once they found Gold Starz they are very happy. We must be doing something right but we will continue to strive to make it even better.

Thank you for you support – we know what we are 😉
