Gold Starz Dance School was set up in 2011 by Keir French. Having been involved in the dance scene for some time he wanted to set up a school for his daughters to take over once old enough. The aim of the school initially was to provide low cost dance classes in an area that needed an affordable out of school activity. And, whilst this is still the aim, Gold Starz have now performed at Sadlers Wells, The Castle Theatre and other venues and projects are in the pipeline. IDTA & ADFP affiliated, the school is now running well with an amazing young team of teachers. So, if you want your child to perform on some of the best stages in the UK or if you want them to keep fit and make friends then Gold Starz is the place to be.
All Classes take place at:
Unit 2, Colletts House
We regularly hold fundraising events and half of any monies raised goes to our chosen charities which are currently Cransley Hospice and Chelsea’s Angels. For more information regarding this, please contact Laura Holloway
What to wear
Most of this is explained in our Child Protection Policy which can be found below but to start with, tracksuit bottoms, leggings (black), shorts, leotards (black or pink), t-shirts or vests (preferrably black or yellow), trainers (street), plimsoles or bare feet (freestyle) or even jazz shoes if your child has them.
Once children settle in we can look at uniforms and appropriate footwear etc.

My name is Danielle French and I am the freestyle and contemporary teacher at Gold Starz dance school and will be the owner in the future.
I have many years of dance experience. I started when I was 18 months old, and started competing when I was 5. I have been in many shows at Milton Keynes Theatre, including Dick Whittington, where I worked alongside Stavros Flately and Joanna Page.
In 2014 I came 2nd in the country at the Freestyle National Championships, and in 2015 I came 5th in the World Championships Freestyle Competition. I have successfully been awarded a full scholarship, 3 year course at Bodyworks Dance Company starting in September 2015 to earn a degree in dance and musical theatre to pursue my career as a dancer.
I look forward to working with the Gold Starz Dancers and helping them achieve their ambitions.
My name is Tamara Dornan, I have been a rhythmic gymnast with Nene Valley Rhythmic Gymnastics Club for 9 years and part of the County Squad. I am new to teaching but I am enjoying it so far, making the sport balanced between both fun and disciplined also enhancing and progressing peoples talents. I’m looking forward to teaching Gold Starz dancers and helping them reach their full potential!
I began to take an interest in dance at the age of 7 years old, being inspired by my older sister and watching her dance class, I then joined after a few weeks. After really enjoying my first few lessons it quickly became a hobbie and I started attending regular street dance classes. By the age of 11 years old I started to compete for my country all over the UK. I won a few UK titles becoming the UK champion three years in a row, by 13 years old I started to travel Europe. I competed at World Championships events and also became apart of a crew. I travelled Europe competing for roughly 3 year. In those three years of competing I won a few European titles and made finals in the World’s. In those three years I also did some TV work with my sister, we shot an advert for a music channel and started airing worldwide at dance events we attended over Europe.
By the age of 17 I became a professional dancer and started to travel the world dancing and performing. I travelled to Germany, Austria, Denmark, Italy, America and many more. Dancing on world stages giving my career the boost it needed. When returning to the UK I entered one of Britain’s biggest TV shows ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ with a group of boys called Cartel’ after making the Semi Finals we then went onto do a UK tour and set up meet and greet events over the UK. Since 2014 we have been performing at the biggest dance events on the main stage and setting up workshops over the UK. I am now helping Gold Starz Dance School follow in my footsteps
