Gold Starz Dance School was set up in 2011 by Keir French. Having been involved in the dance scene for some time he wanted to set up a school for his daughters to take over once old enough. The aim of the school initially was to provide low cost dance classes in an area that needed an affordable out of school activity. And, whilst this is still the aim, Gold Starz have now performed at Sadlers Wells, The Castle Theatre and other venues and projects are in the pipeline. IDTA & ADFP affiliated, the school is now running well with an amazing young team of teachers. So, if you want your child to perform on some of the best stages in the UK or if you want them to keep fit and make friends then Gold Starz is the place to be.
All Classes take place at:
Unit 2, Colletts House
We regularly hold fundraising events and half of any monies raised goes to our chosen charities which are currently Cransley Hospice and Chelsea’s Angels. For more information regarding this, please contact Laura Holloway

Most of this is explained in our Child Protection Policy which can be found below but to start with, tracksuit bottoms, leggings (black), shorts, leotards (black or pink), t-shirts or vests (preferrably black or yellow), trainers (street), plimsoles or bare feet (freestyle) or even jazz shoes if your child has them.

Gold Starz Dance School is the brainchild of Keir French. Keir is the school Principal and Director. As a Licentiate qualified I.D.T.A. Teacher, Keir has been involved in dancing for many years now at Milton Keynes and now Wellingborough. Both his daughters love to dance and have also been, and still are, involved in dance. Keir has won titles in the IDTA Freestyle UK Dance Championships held every year in Blackpool and is also a qualified ADFP Adjudicator.

My name is Danielle French and I am the freestyle and contemporary teacher at Gold Starz Dance School and will be the owner in the future.
I have many years of dance experience. I started when I was 18 months old, and started competing when I was 5. I have been in many shows at Milton Keynes Theatre, including Dick Whittington, where I worked alongside Stavros Flately and Joanna Page.
In 2014 I came 2nd in the country at the Freestyle National Championships, and in 2015 I came 5th in the World Championships Freestyle Competition. I have successfully completed a full scholarship, 3 year course at Bodyworks Dance Company and earnt a degree in dance and musical theatre to pursue my career.
I love working with the Gold Starz Dancers and helping them achieve their ambitions.
My name is Tamara Dornan, I have been a rhythmic gymnast with Nene Valley Rhythmic Gymnastics Club for many years and part of the County Squad. I am now a fully qualified Gymnastics coach and adjudicator. I am new to teaching but I am enjoying it so far, making the sport balanced between both fun and disciplined also enhancing and progressing peoples talents. I’m love to teach Gold Starz dancers and help them reach their full potential!
Starting dance at the age of 8, trying out many dance styles and soon realised none were for me, I went on to find street dance where I felt free and myself, I could be different personas while still being me, it helped me gain confidence as well as gain a different kind of technique.
Throughout my history I went on to do level 3 dance at Northampton college, studying for 2 years, On top of college I continued to dance in 2 strong dance crews competing I have had multiple opportunities throughout my years of dance.
Opportunities such as dancing with famous choreographers like as Parrish Gobel, Wildabeast and more while collecting multiple trophies at battles such as HDI Camp, it didn’t stop there, I managed to claim titles along the way, travelling the world representing England at the age of 14 going to countries such as Spain, Denmark, Italy and others, collecting and building my knowledge of street dance in a wider range allowing me to prepare for my future.
Being a new teacher and having such a wide range of knowledge in my style of dance i wanted to give back to people and Gold Starz is the best place for that,to be part of a tight connected dance school was a privilege it wasn’t just dance it was home from home a welcoming family with so much fire and passion when they dance ,who all supported each other. I can honestly say I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the school and I’m excited to be part of it.
